We said ABSO-BLOODY-LUTELY to the Red Cross Donate-a-thon
To mark World Blood Donor Day and highlight the need for new donors, the Red Cross Blood Service is holding Australia’s first 24-hour donate-a-thon, Bloody Great Friday, at centres in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. When we were asked if wanted to jump on board and support the cause, we said abso-bloody-lutely!
Bloody Great Friday aims to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood, whilst encouraging people to become donors. Donor centres in Melbourne (Collins Street), Sydney (Town Hall) and Brisbane (Edward Street) will be open and collecting blood for 24-hours.
Along with donor kebabs and a bunch of other food and entertainment options, our gelato cart will be popping up at select times*, so you can get your hands on a free scoop of our 'ABSO-BLOODY-LUTELY' special when you donate.
What's in the flavour?
ABSO-BLOODY-LUTELY: Blood orange cheesecake gelato with red velvet cake and raspberry puree
Bloody Great Friday’s 24-hour centres will be open from 7pm on Thursday 13 June to 7pm Friday 14 June. Registrations are now open, to make an appointment to donate please call 13 14 95 or click through the below link.
