Messina Eats: Wonderbao For Chinese New Year V4.0

Messina Eats: Wonderbao For Chinese New Year V4.0

Wonderbao have whipped up another killer Chinese New Year menu that will be very delicious, and we can't wait to eat all of it.

Joining us exclusively for our Messina Eats February edition, they've made some brand new dishes which have never been brought to Sydney.
The headline act is a LOBSTER BAOGUETTE which is a brand new product — a cross between a bao and a lobster roll... we don't need much convincing.

The Melbourne based masters of Chinese dumplings will also be making a range of their famous filled and steamed bao.

  • Roast Pork Belly Gua Bao - with pickled cucumber, spring onion and hoisin sauce
  • Fried Chicken Gua Bao - with yuzu mayo, pickled cabbage and lettuce
  • Fried Silken Tofu Gua Bao - with okonomiyaki sauce, nori and pickled daikon

They're also making their traditional filled baos. Choose from BBQ pork or a vegan shiitake mushroom concoction. And on the side grab yourself a box of shaker fries with sweet paprika seasoning. On the dessert front, we're bringing back our most popular dessert ever, Messina's mango pancakes — mango crepes filled with mango sorbet and whipped cream. Just like the ones you get at yum cha, but with gelato.

Plus, we're mixing up two custom drinks, to wash down the Lunar New Year celebrations.

Join us from Friday 31st January - Saturday 1st February for lunch and dinner, 12pm — late.
