Whether you're in lockdown or just want a night off in the kitchen, Hoy Pinoy and numero uno NNM vendor have made their most popular and foolproof Filipino dishes to fill our latest make-at-home dinner pack.

Mains involve 2 x sticky pork skewers (if you haven't ever tired these are a must at any Night Noodle Markets visit), chicken adobo and steamed rice followed by our highly popular Coco Phangan dessert – coconut and pandan sticky rice, mango sherbet, salted coconut sauce and toasted coconut flakes.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

2 X PORK SKEWERS
1. Bring approx 2.5 - 3 ltrs water to the boil in a large (tall and wide) pot, then turn down to simmer
2. Keeping the skewers in the bag, place in the water and weigh down with lid or put the bag of adobo on top, simmer for 5 minutes
3. Remove both bags from water with tongs and sit for 1 minute on a tea towel
4. Tear bag open via notch (be careful of steam leaving the bag) then serve, or optional step to finish the skewers on the stove or BBQ

- STOVE: Preheat oven to 190 degrees, place boiled skewers on a tray and pour excess sauce over the top. Cook in oven for 2-3 minutes, then serve
- BBQ: place skewers on the BBQ for 3 minutes on each side, or until charred

STEAMED RICE

1. Microwave on medium heat for 4 minutes in the bag, then 1 minute on high
2. Allow to sit for 1 minute and let the bag deflate before opening
3. Tear bag open via notch to serve (be careful of the steam!). If the rice is still too firm, add 30ml of water to the bag and microwave for an extra 1 minute
4. Sprinkle garnish over chicken and rice to finish

CHICKEN ADOBO (if you didn't boil the adobo with your skewers, follow below instructions)
1. Bring approx 2.5 - 3 ltrs water to the boil, then turn down to simmer
2. Place bag into the simmering water and allow to simmer for 5 minutes
3. Remove from water with tongs and sit for 1 minute on a tea towel
4. Tear bag open via notch on side of the bag (be careful of steam leaving the bag)
5. Serve over rice

COCO PHANGAN (dessert)

1. Store the sticky rice and gelato in the freezer. Defrost rice in the fridge, 1 day before consumption
2. Untie the string on the banana leaf parcels and place wrapped parcels on a plate
3. Microwave on high for 3 mins (or until warmed through)
4. Remove bowl and unwrap sticky rice from banana leaves
5. Pour over coconut sauce
6. Scoop on mango gelato and sprinkle with coconut garnish
