Gelato To The Rescue - Support OzHarvest Today

It's that time of the year again, our friends over at OzHarvest need our support to continue to do the amazing work that they offer our community year round.

With 3.6 million Australians experiencing food relief or unable to feed themselves or their families, OzHarvest tirelessly helps the community put food on the table.

By collecting quality rescued food from commercial outlets and delivering it to more than 1300 charities, they save 180 tonnes of food each week from over 3500 food donors, which we're proudly one of.

This not only stops a lot of people from going hungry, but makes a massive impact on food waste by redistributing the goods rather than sending them to landfill.

They've also developed a range of educational programs for kids and adults to teach the community about healthy eating, nutrition, preventing food waste and sustainability.

To support their incredible cause, we've made a special flavour which will be in all of our stores this week. The bananas used in this flavour were all rescued and although too brown for people to consume, were perfect for gelato!
