If you haven't already heard, we now have a fully-fledged Messina chocolate department in-house, that not only makes all the chocolate for our cakes and gelato, but also some super delicious custom creations for you to eat. This year, the team has come up with a special edition box of mini chocolate bars, so you can spoil your Mumma this Mother’s Day.
The curated box of eight bars are all handmade by Messina’s creative chocolatiers at Marrickville HQ, using single-origin cocoa from Ecuador.
Each flavour is based on one of our most loved gelato flavours, which has been transformed into chocolate form.
Inside the box, you'll find eight delicious mini bars:
Fairy Bread – bread cream and burnt butter on a biscuit base, enrobed in white chocolate and sprinkled with hundreds and thousands
Messinatella – messinatella cream and roughly chopped roasted hazelnuts on a biscuit base, enrobed in milk chocolate
Italian Nougat – hazelnut nougat with whole roasted hazelnuts enrobed in milk chocolate
Cone-ception – waffle cone cream & cone crunch pieces on a biscuit base, enrobed in caramelised white chocolate
Pistachio Praline – pistachio cream and biscuit enrobed in white chocolate, sprinkled with finely chopped pistachios
Mangoes & Cream– sablé biscuit topped with mango cream, enrobed in mango white chocolate
Strawberries & Cream – sablé biscuit topped with strawberry cream, enrobed in white chocolate and strawberry powder
Nicky Glasses – sablé biscuit topped with coffee cream and caramel, enrobed in white chocolate, drizzled with milk and dark chocolate
