So, Why the Switch?

Before we start lets get one thing straight... your points are safe and coming with you!
Ok, now that you're not panicking... On 12th November our new Messina app launches! The short version? We'll let you use and earn points online, pre-order tubs for pick-up or delivery, and trade points for Messina dollars. Read more below :)

  • 1. Earn + Redeem Everywhere

    After years of only being able to earn and redeem in store we're finally bringing the app online! Soon you’ll be able to earn and redeem your points for limited edition products, merch, cakes and delivery - which brings us to our next point...

  • 2. Order in the App

    We’re excited to bring gelato pick-up and delivery straight to the app. This means you can finally earn and redeem points on delivery orders made directly through the app! For pick-up orders, order in the app, say your name at the counter and collect. Super simple stuff :)

  • 3. Messina Dollars

    You will still be able to use your points to redeem scoops, tubs and the gelato cart (of course!) just like the old app. But to increase flexibility, we're introducing Messina Dollars. Just swap your points for Messina Dollars and use those on any Messina order.

In the old app go to the bottom bar>click more>click profile>view email

FAQs

  • Nope. All your points are transferring across.

  • Any in app vouchers, free or redeemed with points will need to be used before 12th October. After that, they will be void.

  • We're just making a few more tweaks and when it's ready to go you'll be sent an email with a link to download our new app

  • Yes. We’ve got exciting new perks planned exclusively for app members. We’re not spoiling the surprise just yet!

  • Don't stress, make sure you've tried any old email addresses and check if you previously used a private apple id email (you can do this in settings). If you're still stumped, pelase email hello@gelatomessina.com with your full name, phone and any possible email addresses you think your account may be linked to.

  • Woohoo, congrats! Please redeem the offer in the app and then email us at hello@gelatomessina.com to let us know. We'll honour this redemption for a year so you have time to lock in a date

  • Yes, the old app will no longer work and you will be sent an email to download our new app when the exciting time comes

  • Yes for all regular members you'll still receive 10 points for every $1 you spend ;)

  • You can get scoops, tubs, the gelato cart AND Messina Dollars which get you money off any Messina order.

  • Before the 21st of October you’ll need to contact the in-app support and change it to a real /current email so we can contact you about the app swap

  • Yes, keep saving those points. The Gelato Cart is coming with us

  • Nope! We'll transfer this across for you, you'll just need to reconfirm your password. If you don't know your account email you can find this in the current app by going to more>profile>email
