For more than a century people around the world have been marking the 8th of March as a special day for women.
March 8th is a day which acknowledges women's rights and gender equality, parity, and call to action for accelerating women's equality. This year, we wanted to celebrate all the amazing women at Messina and show you what they do to make Messina what it is today. Meet some of our amazing teams from stores and head office below.

Valentina, Silvia, Rosa, Gaia, Joanne from our Darlinghurst store
The Fitzroy team - Renata, Fabiola, Sabina and Melisa. Renata was our first ever store manager and has been with us since 2011.
Aliya, Brigitta, Suli & Daniela from our Newtown store.
Linda & Nicole from Parramatta
Alice & Tamilla from Richmond who have both been with us for 6 years.
Suri, our store manager from Windsor

Our Surry Hills team - Sol, Silvia C & Jasmine
Hong, Gemma, Belen, Vika & Daisy from our Darling Square store. Gemma is one of our original store managers and has been with us since 2012.
The Messina marketing team - Dana, Carmenia & Siân who look after all of Messina's in-house marketing, PR, collaborations, customer service and our busy gelato cart business.
Carla — her own department! She cooks for the factory team three times a week and is also the mother to two of the Messina owners Nick & Danny Palumbo.
Maria – head of our bakery team, Katherine – head pastry chef for cakes and our newest member of the team, Millie who is heading up our new chocolate department
Dalila and Julie from our operations and quality control departments — Dalila keeps the stores running and Julie makes sure all your gelato tastes as amazing as it should
Rose and Adele are integral members of the cake team.
