Messina Eats: Wonderbao

Messina Eats: Wonderbao

It's that time again. Messina Eats is back with our monthly (or so) two-day pop up, this time bringing Wonderbao from Melbourne.

WONDERBAO have one tiny shop in Melbourne where they pump out some of the best gua baos we’ve tried (and we’ve tried a lot). Andrew, one of the owners, has spent years perfecting the art of handmade bao pastry and traditional BBQ pork buns.

The menu is traditional; gua baos come with either roast pork, Korean fried chicken or panko eggplant and you can nab your filled baos with BBQ pork, shiitake mushrooms or a sweet/savoury egg custard.

The day and night is filled with eats, beats and community feasts with our special guests cooking from 12pm till late.

We’ll be making gelato Mango Pancakes; a crepe filled with mango sorbet and whipped cream as well as handmade slushies! Coffee and coconut or Lychee and Raspberry.

See you there!
