Massive thanks to everyone who showed up for Messina Eats: Cake this weekend in Sydney.

Melbourne, now it's your turn. A mini version of Messina Eats: Cake will be popping up at 
CoBake Space in Richmond.

When: Saturday 5th October - 10am until stocks last
Menu: all cakes, plus Tiramisuki gelato sandwich and Strawberry shortcake Sundae.

For our next Messina Eats, we're doing things a little differently. On Saturday, 28th September, we're hosting a one-day event with Alisha Henderson and Alice Bennett, two excellent cake makers from Melbourne who know how to hit the sweet spot with their decadent cakes. Think bake sale meets ice cream party – Alisha and Alice will take over the store with their cake slices, inspired by our gelato flavours. So if you're a fan of the likes of Milk Choc Peanut Fudge, Super Dulce, and more, and you love cake, this is the event for you.

We will also be serving gelato sundaes and sandwiches, plus Shadow Baking will be cooking hot, savoury tarte flambees in our shiny new Gozney Arc and making the coffees ;)

If you’re in need of something stronger, the Messina Creative Bar will be serving boujee mimosas and breakfast cocktails.

We won’t blame you if you stay all day...

The Messina pastry chefs will also be serving up a couple of sweet additions:

  • Tiramisuki gelato sandwich: Tiramisu gelato sandwiched between two choc chip cookies and topped with coffee frosting.

  • Strawberry shortcake Sundae: Layers of vanilla pannacotta, strawberry gel, vanilla gelato , strawberry infused zuppa, chantilly and victoria sponge

 

Shadow baking will be looking after all things hot and savoury: 

 

  • OG flambee - Speck, onion, creme fraiche and emmenthal cheese
  • Reuben Pocket Flambee - Pastrami, saurkraut, rusiian dressing, pickles, swiss cheese
  • Eggplant Parmy - Roast eggplant, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil - VEGO


     

    Stop by the Messina Creative Breakfast Bar for a selection of drinks, including Mango Mimosas, Blood Orange Marmalade Breakfast Sours, and Nitro Coffee. You can’t go wrong with any choice. 

     


    PRE-ORDER A CAKE BOX:

    Slice boxes will be available for pre-order to pick-up on 28th September. Each box contains 4 slices of cake, with the option to add a 500ml tub of our limited edition collab flavour when picking up in store – cream cheese gelato, pineapple jam, pecan crunch and hummingbird cake.
