The Christmas Coma has gone up a luxe notch or two this year. Finish off your Christmas spread with a glowing Messinatella semifreddo trifle and send your family on their way. Filled with dense layers of Messinatella crémeux, choc mud cake with Messinatella fudge, caramelised white choc mousse, choc coated puffed rice and candied hazelnuts, vanilla cream chantilly, hazelnut semifreddo and choc hazelnut crumble. Add the finishing touch at the table with our handmade white choc gold sheet and milk choc hazelnut globe filled with oozing Messinatella.
WHAT'S IN THE PACK?
Along with the frozen Trifle you'll receive:
- 1L of Messina brandy custard (refrigerated). Use within 5 days of opening. If unopened, follow the use by date on the bottle

- bake at home gingerbread and dark choc chip cookie pie (frozen)
- Messina cooler bag to carry your very heavy pack home

This year you'll be getting a snazzy Messina cooler bag as part of your Christmas Coma package. If you keep the cooler bag sealed, you can travel for up to 1 hour. Pop your trifle and cookie pie in the freezer as soon as you get to your destination, and the choc garnish box and custard in the fridge.
TRIFLE SERVING INSTRUCTIONS:
Basically it’s a ‘free for all’ service. Take your trifle out of the freezer and leave at room temperature for 2 - 3 hours before serving (depending on the outside temperature). Give it a poke to test how soft it is, it should be cold, soft and easily spoonable. When it's come to temperature, add the two chocolate garnishes on top. Smash the chocolate ball and sheet over the trifle and divide between serves, plate up and pour over the shaken brandy custard. If you don’t eat all the trifle, you can re-freeze, or keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Store your 1L of Messina brandy custard in the fridge. Before serving, open the lid and let the air in, place the lid back on tightly and shake vigorously. The custard is ready to pour!

GINGERBREAD COOKIE PIE BAKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Defrost before baking. Refrigerate for up to 3 days until ready to bake.
1. Pre-heat oven to 165C fan-forced or 180C conventional
2. Bake for 20 - 25 mins, remove from oven and let it rest for 10 mins
We recommend baking right away, but if you've got enough willpower to not eat straight away, please keep frozen from store pick up. The pie will keep in the freezer for a month. Once cooked, store in the fridge and eat within 3 days.
